I hold a Bachelor of Science with Honors, in Horticulture, from Cornell University, and a Master of Science and Teaching Certificate in Special Education from Temple University. For 8 years I taught horticulture to youth at a private special needs school in New Jersey. In 1990 I received an award from The Association of Schools and Agencies for the Handicapped : “ Educator of the Year for Region IV, South Jersey”.

Our children, 17, 15, and 10 (as of March 2010), have always been home schooled.

Past home schooling leadership positions include President of a local home schooling support group. In recent years, the children have assisted me in my role as newsletter editor for this support group.

I live in the Northwest section of Philadelphia.
