Elizabeth attended the University of Pittsburgh at Greensburg for her undergraduate studies in Psychology. Her research interests includes:

Elizabeth is a member of IUP's English Graduate Organization, and  the Composition & TESOL Association. She obtained an Outstanding Citizenship Award from the English Graduate Organization for her service as Social Event Coordinator. She is a Graduate Assistant at IUP obtaining a scholarship for the advancement of her doctoral studies. As a scholar of English, Elizabeth had conference papers accepted to the Northeast Modern Language Association and the English Association of Pennsylvania State Universities. Elizabeth also engages with additional professional organizations such as the American Library Association, National Council for Teachers of English, Conference on College Composition and Communication, International Literacy Association, Northeast Victorian Studies Association, International Society for Technology in Education, and the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity.

Elizabeth currently teaches English at a local community college. She has taught in both public and private K-12 institutions and homeschooled her own three children for 15 years. Homeschooling her own three children is what inspired Elizabeth to pursue formal degrees for teaching and learning. As a Scholar-Librarian-Professor and Educational Consultant, Elizabeth's goals for assisting homeschoolers include:

  1. To provide assistance and guidance with compliance of the homeschool law and required educational curricula.
  2. To provide assistance with preparing and empowering secondary students in their pursuit of higher learning.
  3. To  provide a thorough, professional Narrative Assessment, of student portfolios and unique educational talents.

The English Forum LLC, Educational Consulting Services provides an array of optional services for homeschoolers, including yearly evaluations for secondary students, grades 7-12 and online Honors English Literature and Composition Courses. Elizabeth also awards credits for the PA Homeschoolers High School Diploma Program. She has a special interest in assisting secondary homeschoolers with the creation of digital homeschool portfolios. Elizabeth finds that digitizing a homeschool portfolio provides homeschoolers with an incredibly unique and important resource upon graduation, as a tool for; employment opportunities, college admission, and as a general commonplace for students to build upon the representation and documentation of their developing academic studies, interests, and professional accomplishments. Elizabeth is currently accepting evaluation requests for the 2019 -2020 and 2020-2021 school terms.
